Two weeks away.

Art and the art of hanging in there

Liminal Craft will be at Polycon, between Lakeland and Orlando, two weeks from now.

Today, I'm working on this. I know it isn't a fandom piece, in the sense that fandom culture events are my bread and butter, but maybe it's a reasonable Florida sort of thing. Space for me has always been about the contrast between the hopes and the realities of the future. We dream of space; we dream of a future where there are still opportunities and excitement, where there is learning and the science to take us places we never dreamed of. Space can also be about budget limitations and political maneuvers. Lives lost. Fears of a corporate dystopia.

I suppose this piece includes the classic anime-ish bird-of-aspirations imagery because I hope that bright future can exist.
